Last night, in the midst of my 40+ miles of beach walking over the past 7 days, I took a picture on the beach in front of my Ecuadorian coastal property, raising my arms to heaven and rejoicing. And I took the photo BEFORE the election results, knowing that this would be my frame of mind whether President Romney or President Obama was the leader of my country. Because my life philosophy is not affected by the outcome of an election. I am a person of faith & purpose & I choose to use the Word of Wisdom as my guide: "Rejoice in ALL things, and again, I say, REJOICE!!" Every day.

Elections don't decide my attitude toward living my life on purpose. I put the plans in motion to leave the country weeks ago, to fulfill my dream of owning an ocean retreat to share with family and friends, and a place to train social entrepreneurs, and took action to make it happen. Why Ecuador? And why, now?

Because my best friend challenged me to dream bigger. I promised her I would. And then, she died. That was one month ago.

During those four weeks, I have taken a long, deep look at all of my businesses, and decided that somehow, some way, I had to reclaim my life and my time to be spent with the people I love, living my principles and fulfilling the items on my bucket list. All while increasing my cash flow, reducing my expenses, and multiplying my ability to reach thousands and help them do the same.

One thing that facing death teaches you is that living is not only about the quantity of years, but it truly is about the quality. As I have said about my dear friend Eileen, she knew what it meant to not complain about the storms, but to learn to sing in the rain, in high heels and backwards. That's what strong women do. They don't expect life to be a bed of roses, they learn to navigate through the thorns; and the best, like Eileen, can even repurpose the thorns to a thing of beauty and make a business from it.

So, in 28 days, I have worked less. Played more. Stressed less. Blessed more people. Expanded my sphere of influence. Reduced the sphere of my waist.

All while launching 2 new businesses, expanding 2 others, and increasing my profits ten-fold. How? By discovering the most successful business mentors, adopting their business system models and strategies, and implementing them in my own business. Me, a middle-aged, out-of-shape mother of five, grieving, yet celebrating, the life of an amazing woman.

All from my mobile phone and laptop in a 3rd world country. (Isn't this an amazing world we are blessed to live in?)

And, starting right now, I will be singularly focused on helping others do the same. My strength, and my passion, is helping good people make good money, so they can do good things with it.

When fear of the economy has our country in its grip, it is time for entrepreneurs to take charge and lead. People like Alex Jeffreys. Peter Garety. Pete Williams. And the "guru to the gurus", who has mentored me and most other 6 or 7 figure online business owners, Rich Schefren.

Here is the free report that launched me on my journey to fulfilling bigger dreams. Feel free to share, and let's grow our nation, and our world, to higher prosperity.

I'm ready. I know it's what Eileen would do.

Please share your thoughts on what I can do to serve you in life or in business below.

p.s. In case it's not abundantly clear, my first step in my action plan to make my world better was to VOTE, on the first day of early voting, in preparation of fulfilling my dreams, and helping others reach theirs. It was only a few generations ago that we women didn't have that right and privilege, and I will live my life in gratitude, defending it!

As many of you are aware, a primary focus of my time in the past year has been working pro bono with Dallas Wiens.

Dallas Wiens, for those who haven't had the joy of learning his story, is a 26 year old young man who turned his face into a high-voltage electric line on November 13, 2008, burning his face off to the skull. Dallas was painting Ridglea Baptist Church in Fort Worth when the accident occurred, and was initially not expected to live. I have been advocating for and mentoring Dallas since that time, and last week spent time in Boston filming for Good Morning America, which Dallas will appear on this morning, around 7:30 a.m., CST. Of course, the story will then be available on http://ABC.com, who will also be linking back to Dallas' site which I created for him at http://DallasWiens.com. (The site is now being lovingly maintained by his family).

I was privileged to get to travel with Dallas' grandmother, Sue, and his precious daughter, Scarlette, to be with Dallas for a few days as he recovered from this historic procedure.

Here is the Boston Globe news story from that trip. You'll see my quote at this link: http://www.boston.com/news/health/blog/2011/05/transplant_reci_1.html

"It's science fiction realized," said Lory Moore, a friend and advocate who flew in to visit Wiens last week. "It's just beyond comprehension what these brilliant doctors can do."

Nothing more powerful. Nothing more pure.

How blessed we are when we experience love in our lives. And how much more blessed we are when we share it with others.

One of my favorite artists is Michael Franks. He who captures the words of my love and delivers them in delicious melodies that soothe my soul. Just sharing the beauty with you.

With deepest gratitude to the true love I have been blessed with. God is so good to let us taste such goodness.

Happy Valentines Day, with love.

And if you truly want to experience a glow in your heart, here is an amazing opportunity to remember the little ones with the change from your pocket.

One of my dear friends and mentors, Dr. Mani, has a delightful gift for those who purchase his Kindle ebook today. $2.99 to save a child's life. Imagine that! You can't even buy a paper heart for that paltry sum these days!

Is there really any other place for six quarters to go today, this day, the day of love? What would it feel like to know your 299 pennies helped save a child?

Why not go here and find out? http://www.47hearts.com

47 Hearts

Here is the story of 47 Hearts, in the words of my dear friend, Dr. Mani:

It's time to think about your business' purpose.

	Eleven years ago, I did.

	I asked myself this:

What would you do for a child in pain, who was ill
and had little chance of being made well without
an expensive surgery?

What if it were your child?

The answer was simple and glaringly obvious.

You'd do whatever you need to do to make whatever
needs to happen, happen.

That's the story of 11 years which I share by way
of 47 short, inspirational axioms in a powerful
little book called

"47 HEARTS – How To Live YOUR Dreams, With
  Passion, Purpose & Persistence"

Now what if all YOU needed to do was read this
book – to help save a child's life?

Would you be willing to do so little while helping
so much?

My non-profit CHD Foundation works with children
in India who suffer from Congenital Heart Defects.

I perform the surgeries. I raise funds to help pay
for them by writing and selling ebooks. I do it
because these families are not able to come up with
all the money.

And without treatment, children will suffer.

Now you can help me help those families when
you purchase the digital version of "47 Hearts".

Plus if you are willing to tell just one person,
you can help even more.

Will you order the ebook, "47 Hearts" from this
page and then tell just one special someone about
it?

	   http://www.47hearts.com

YOU are MY 'one person'.

You know me. And I know you know someone,
someone in your life who has needed so much
more than you've been able to give.

So you gave what you could, and it helped.

	Will you do that now?

When each of us makes even a small gesture,
it adds up to sharing and healing a heart, which
is ultimately connected to our own.

Share your heart. Buy the digital version of
"47 Hearts"

	   http://www.47hearts.com

Have a wonderful and love filled Valentine's Day.

Thanksgiving is a national day of remembering the things we are most grateful for. But if we truly understood the powerful health benefits of gratitude, and how easy it is to achieve them, we would all be practicing gratefulness 365 days a year.

Imagine a pill that could improve your marriage, increase your heart health, help you sleep better, eliminate or reduce depression and increase your chances of living longer. ”Double dose, please,” you should be saying, especially when this magical tonic can be delivered, free of charge, in less than 2 minutes a day.

There is actually a true science behind the strength in saying “Thank You”. Studying this science has become one of my most valued and rewarding "hobbies". What other "past-time" can you think of that can improve your quality of life up to 25%?!

Here are some quick facts on Thanksgiving, from one of my dear mentors, David Nelson:

• Thanksgiving Day is an annual national holiday in the United States, Canada
and a few other countries for the purpose of celebrating the harvest and other
blessings of the past year.

	• Thanksgiving Day in America occurred when the Pilgrims, by order of
Governor William Bradford, held a three-day festival to commemorate their
harvest in the autumn of 1671.

	• Abraham Lincoln proclaimed a national harvest festival on November 26, 1863.
From that time on, Thanksgiving Day has been an annual holiday in the
United States, proclaimed yearly by the president and the the governor of each state.
Lincoln announced that the celebration was to occur on the last Thursday in
November.

	• In 1941, Congress and the President established the present date, the fourth
Thursday in November as the day for national thanksgiving.

	• On Thanksgiving Day, we can have no greater objective than to gain a
true appreciation of the value of the blessings that we receive . . . and to
offer and show gratitude for them.

	• Gratitude consists of two conditions . . . first, the sensing of favors
received and, second, a readiness to acknowledge them.

	• Gratitude is deeper than thanks. Thankfulness is the beginning of
gratitude. Gratitude is the completion of thankfulness. Thankfulness
may consist merely of words. Gratitude is shown in acts.

	• Real gratitude is not just a once-a-year response in "lip service."
It's a constant affair of the heart.

	• It seems like there is magic in the expression of gratitude. The more we show and
tell of our gratitude . . . the greater the love that is developed . . . and shared . . .
and felt between people.

	• Gratitude is also acknowledgment of divine favor. God is all about love. Father in
Heaven loves us . . . and as we express our gratitude to Him for all the many blessings
that we enjoy . . . our love for Him increases and we will surely . . . more intensely . . .
feel the warmth of His love. Our Father in Heaven likes to hear us give thanks.

	• Actually lots of people like to hear expressions of thankfulness.
People like moms, dads, brothers, sisters.
People like teachers, volunteers, clergy, community leaders.
People like grandmothers, grandfathers, friends, aunts, and uncles.
People at work, in our neighborhoods, business associates, even strangers.
People who do good things for us . . . and help us . . . and bless us.

	* Robert W. Woodruff, a prominent business leader in the United States once toured
the country giving a lecture called, "A capsule Course in Human Relations."
In his message, he said that the two most important words in the English language
are these: "Thank you."

	• There is a simplicity — even a sincerity — when "thank you" is spoken.
There is a magic in real thanksgiving — in real gratitude.

I've been blessed to be a part of creating what has become a Thanksgiving tradition: an online webinar EVENT that provides in-depth research and case studies about the hidden power and value of Gratitude.

Interested in the top ten ways to reap the rewards of thankfulness in your life? How would you like to be a part of a “Great-Full” Living Project sure to improve your happiness by 25%… just in time for Turkey Day? Click here to join our "tribe" in celebrating the magic of real thanksgiving and deep gratitude. You'll be glad you did!

Cancer is a man-made disease fuelled by the excesses of modern life, a study of ancient remains has found.

Tumours were rare until recent times when pollution and poor diet became issues, the review of mummies, fossils and classical literature found.

A greater understanding of its origins could lead to treatments for the disease, which claims more than 150,000 lives a year in the UK.

Scientists found no signs of cancer in their extensive study of mummies apart from one isolated case

Michael Zimmerman, a visiting professor at Manchester University, said: 'In an ancient society lacking surgical intervention, evidence of cancer should remain in all cases.

'The virtual absence of malignancies in mummies must be interpreted as indicating their rarity in antiquity, indicating that cancer-causing factors are limited to societies affected by modern industrialisation.'

To trace cancer's roots, Professor Zimmerman and colleague Rosalie David analysed possible references to the disease in classical literature and scrutinised signs in the fossil record and in mummified bodies.

Despite slivers of tissue from hundreds of Egyptian mummies being rehydrated and placed under the microscope, only one case of cancer has been confirmed.

This is despite experiments showing that tumours should be even better preserved by mummification than healthy tissues.

Dismissing the argument that the ancient Egyptians didn't live long enough to develop cancer, the researchers pointed out that other age-related disease such as hardening of the arteries and brittle bones died occur.

Fossil evidence of cancer is also sparse, with scientific literature providing a few dozen, mostly disputed, examples in animal fossil, the journal Nature Reviews Cancer reports.

Even the study of thousands of Neanderthal bones has provided only one example of a possible cancer.

<img alt="Caricaturist James Gillray illustrated the taking of snuff, which

Caricaturist James Gillray illustrated the taking of snuff, which appears in first reports in scientific literature of distinctive tumours of nasal cancer in snuff users in 1761

Evidence of cancer in ancient Egyptian texts is also 'tenuous' with cancer-like problems more likely to have been caused by leprosy or even varicose veins.

The ancient Greeks were probably the first to define cancer as a specific disease and to distinguish between benign and malignant tumours.

But Manchester professors said it was unclear if this signalled a real rise in the disease, or just a greater medical knowledge.

The 17th century provides the first descriptions of operations for breast and other cancers.

And the first reports in scientific literature of distinctive tumours only occurred in the past 200 years or so, including scrotal cancer in chimney sweeps in 1775 and nasal cancer in snuff users in 1761.

Professor David, who presented the findings to Professor Mike Richards, the UK's cancer tsar and other oncologists at a conference earlier this year, said: 'In industrialised societies, cancer is second only to cardiovascular disease as a cause of death. But in ancient times, it was extremely rare.

'There is nothing in the natural environment that can cause cancer. So it has to be a man-made disease, down to pollution and changes to our diet and lifestyle.

'The important thing about our study is that it gives a historical perspective to this disease. We can make very clear statements on the cancer rates in societies because we have a full overview. We have looked at millennia, not one hundred years, and have masses of data.

'Yet again extensive ancient Egyptian data, along with other data from across the millennia, has given modern society a clear message – cancer is man-made and something that we can and should address.

Dr Rachel Thompson, of World Cancer Research Fund, said: 'This research makes for very interesting reading.

'About one in three people in the UK will get cancer so it is fairly commonplace in the modern world.

Scientists now say a healthy diet, regular physical activity and maintaining a healthy weight can prevent about a third of the most common cancers so perhaps our ancestors’ lifestyle reduced their risk from cancer.'

HARVARD FOOD PYRAMID

Did you know the U.S. Government recommends you eat 6-9 portions of fresh fruits and vegetables every day? Or that your body needs the Omega-3 essential fats that come almost solely from fish, certain nuts and flax seed? Or that the Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) of vitamins and minerals listed on packaged foods and multivitamin containers is the minimum amount required for survival, not how much of each nutrient you should consume?

Here's an even more startling fact: the "official" U.S. government pyramid isn't the "go-to" authoritative source that true health experts rely on for reliable and accurate nutrition information. For years, nutrition experts affiliated with Harvard University have been compiling data valuable for the conscious consumer looking to proactively protect their health on a daily basis. Unlike the government pyramid, which is fatally flawed because it is based on out-of-date science and influenced by people with business interests in their messages, the Harvard chart is based on the latest, most convivcing scientific evidence.

Even though the importance of fresh produce rather than cereals and grains has finally been given its long overdue top priority even by the government, it’s also important to realize that fresh fruits and vegetables contain fewer nutrients today than they did as recently as two decades ago. This depletion is due to the current trend of rushing produce to market before it has fully ripened, growing it in soil that contains fewer nutrients than it formerly contained, the use of fewer pesticides and presence of more insect damage than a decades ago, additional pollutants in the water supply, and several other, equally disturbing factors.

Part of the nutrition-depletion problem is also caused in the kitchen, where fruits and vegetables are often peeled before being served or are fried or otherwise overcooked, causing significant loss of whatever nutrients still remain. Finally, with the rising cost of fresh produce, only a small percentage of the population actually gets 6-9 portions of fresh fruit and vegetables every day.

The “bottom line” is that merely eating right is no longer adequate. The sad state of nutritional affairs makes the need for proper supplementation more important than ever before. A complete multivitamin/multimineral supplement that well exceeds RDA in all categories which also provides antioxidants and other beneficial daily nutrients is no longer an option, but rather a necessity for anyone who desires to enjoy a long and active wellness-supporting lifestyle.

These supplements are not formulated to prevent or cure any illness or disease. However, they will provide the fuel (in the form of nutrients) your natural immune system and other body systems and organs need to do the jobs for which they were designed at maximum strength so that your body can do its job and keep you well!

What can wellness mean in your life? There are many clear indicators of good health, such as:

    • A general sense of well-being and a more positive, enthusiastic outlook on life
    • Enhanced feelings of energy and vitality; fewer feelings of being worn out or needing frequent naps or more than 6-8 hours of daily sleep
    • Prolonged appearance of physical youthfulness
    • Fewer minor illnesses such as colds, fevers, and headaches, plus less severity and faster recovery when they do occur
    • Greater self-confidence and more of a “can-do” attitude, as well as the desire to explore and successfully master additional personal and professional pursuits

What are the factors you look for in a nutritional supplement for safe, reliable and effective health improvements? Which criteria are absolutely necessary for your personal best quality of life?

I would love to hear your recommendations and reasons behind them…

Regarding delayed gratification, true financial wellness means experiencing financial health today and tomorrow. That means looking ahead to your retirement years and doing your best now to anticipate your immediate needs when you no longer wish to work or are unable to continue working. During your prime working years, it is incumbent on each of us to establish long-term revenue streams that will provide for safe, steady income during future years without making ourselves susceptible to whims of the stock market or general economic climate. This requirement, while needing some research and dependable advice, is by no means unattainable or out-of-reach financially.

Sadly, many people with foresight lost a significant portion of their retirement savings (often in the form of their 401k plans) in fall of 2008 with the sudden, dramatic downturn of the U.S. economy that accompanied the almost simultaneous Wall Street, automotive industry and Fannie Mae/Freddie MAC crashes.

While there’s no sure way to guarantee sidestepping similar situations in the future, some “due diligence” (careful, thorough research) and the guidance of impartial, experienced financial experts can help minimize your financial exposure over the coming years. Here are a few fundamental steps you may wish to take to protect your long-term financial health:

    • Diversify your sources of income. Don’t depend on a single source of cash flow because if it crashes…well, you can fill in the rest. Diversification applies whether you are a completely retired individual, are semi-retired, have a home-based business, or own a small or large business.

    • Investing in the stock market is risky, but it does support the American economy and can sometimes pay off. Never “play the market” with the intention of buying and selling stocks within a very short period of time. Avoid gimmicks such as “penny stocks” and “junk bonds”—the amazing success stories you hear often omit many relevant facts or are total fabrications by silver-tongued take-the-money-and-run charlatans. Invest only a minimal portion of your designated investment funds in the stock market. How much, you ask? No more than you can afford to lose without compromising your current financial needs or future lifestyle. Whatever form it takes, gambling is gambling, and the same precautions you would take in Las Vegas or Atlantic City generally apply when dabbling on Wall Street.

    • Choose your financial adviser as carefully as you would choose your physician. Don’t judge someone’s expertise by handsomely framed certificates on the wall, professional society memberships, recommendations of your relatives or the lavishness of their offices. Be sure to have get-acquainted meetings with at least two potential advisers before making your decision. Ask yourself these questions:

    • Does this person make you feel comfortable discussing your personal finances with them?
    • How experienced is this person as a financial adviser? Where did they get their training?
    • About how many individual clients do they serve? Do they offer some of them as references?
    • Is this potential adviser a good listener who pays full attention to your specific situation and needs?
    • Does he or she explain your options in terms you can understand?
    • How are their fees determined?
    • Does your “gut instinct” tell you this person would appreciate your business, welcome your questions and return your calls promptly?

By following these simple principles, you will quickly be back on the road to financial freedom. Don't forget to enjoy the journey and "smell the roses" along the path!
